The governing body of the MSBAIT shall be the Board of Trustees. The number of Trustees shall be seven. A Trustee shall be an individual who is a current member of the School Board of an Independent or Special School District. In addition, the Executive Director of the MSBA shall be an ex-officio, non-voting member of the Board of Trustees.
Each participating Eligible School District shall be entitled to one vote with respect to the election of each Trustee. Each Trustee shall serve a term of four years and there shall be no limitation on the number of terms which may be served by any Trustee.
The Board of Trustees typically meets six times a year — August, October, December, February, April, and June.
